Richter Landscape Worked With Us from the Beginning

Building a luxury home on a steep view lot was a daunting task. We wanted to maintain a mountainous feeling for our home and yet not end up with a lot of retaining walls or have the home stick out as we maintained the valley views. Bill from Richter Landscape worked with us from the beginning. He helped to show us the proper elevations and helped us in the preparation so that we didn't have to do a lot of re-thinking as we concluded the building and landscaping process. Richter Landscape knew how to soften steep grades and not do the rock retaining wall look that so many steep lots have. Ours just looks like a forest, which is exactly what we wanted. It allows the house to be almost secluded, yet maintains valley views. Bill also had a vision in the back yard and was able to make secluded places out of areas that we thought were just hillside. Richter Landscape gave us the soft, easy, forested, informal, secluded feeling that we wanted. His landscaping vision around our pool and patio placed a rectangular pool in a beautiful patio and forest setting that allows it to be both formal and mountainous. Nothing ever goes completely right in the building and landscape business and yet Bill continued to return and take care of things for the following two to three years. We chose Bill Richter and his company after looking into several landscape companies here in the Salt Lake area. Our property sits in a very natural setting which we didn't want to disturb to much with the design. Bill's expertise allowed the perfect touch of new trees, grass, shrubs, flowers and vegetation to make our setting beautiful. He also built a fire pit using our left over rock down by the stream that feels like your in a National Park while enjoying it. As he finished off he provided us with tons of wildflowers to plant in the months that followed and we're excited to see them come to life this Spring. He's also provided us with Lawn care tips that make our lawn the greenest lawn in miles. His staff was hardworking, professional, and caring of our property. We're using Bill again this Spring to spruce up our rental property. Thank you Bill for a great job and giving our family a property we can enjoy for years to come as it matures.
